Questions to be answered

What do you like about blogging?
One of the good thing about blogging that it gives the convenience for me to write down anything that I feel like to write...In other words, blogging is considered as one of the way for people to manage stress and at the same time expressing their feelings through writing it in blogs....

What you do not like about blogging?
At times, I feel like doing more talking rather than writing blogs...most probably this happens because the two way interactions with bloggers and commentators are not as quick as face to face talking...

What have you gained from blogging e.g. language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?
Yes, I have to agree that blogging allows me to practice the language more through writing and at the same time, I learnt new skills on how to embed video to blog etc.

What do you like about this course?
I got the chance to learn all of the software and programs that are closely related to teaching... As future teachers, these skills are essential to make sure that I will become a good teacher...

What you do not like about this course?
Forgive me for being frank here, but sometimes the workloads does not resemble the meaning of learning using technology...

What have you learnt from this course?
A lot...thanks to Madam Foziah...although I can say that I am good in using computers and etc...There are still some things which I've just learned during this course..thanks again Madam...

What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?
It's hard for me to answer the question, but again I have to say sorry... At times, I can't understand the connection with way of marks given with the work assigned....

What you have expected but do not learn from this course?
None...Everything regarded to resources that can be use in classroom can be said all have been taught...

If you can change anything about this course, state what is it and elaborate?
As a suggestion, I think that the module has to be improved in the sense that specific criteria, guidance and instructions are clearly understand and can be followed by the students... It happens to be that we are confused at times when the requirement of work suddenly changed...Every effort has its own cost, and it might be better if this is taken into consideration...Apart from that, I have to thank Madam Foziah for giving us the chance to learn all the useful skills in using and developing resources for ESL classroom...

On a scale 1-10, please rate your computing and technological skills for both before and after undergoing the course.
Before I entered this course, there are certain useful software and program which I never had a chance to explore...After undergoing the course for a semester, finally I would say that the scale has increase from 6.5 to 8.5/9....

Important...Health Info for Men!!!

I have always wanted to share this info but maybe for most people they think that breast cancers attack women only...the truth is..men also have the potential to get this deadly cancer....Now I would to share some information regarding to men and breast cancer... this is taken from http://www.medicinenet.com/male_breast_cancer/article.htm

What is male breast cancer?

Men possess a small amount of nonfunctioning breast tissue (breast tissue that cannot produce milk) that is concentrated in the area directly behind the nipple on the chest wall. Like breast cancer in women, cancer of the male breast is the uncontrolled growth of the cells of this breast tissue.

Breast tissue in both young boys and girls consists of tubular structures known as ducts. At puberty, a girl's ovaries produce female hormones (estrogen) that cause the ducts to grow and milk glands (lobules) to develop at the ends of the ducts. The amount of fat and connective tissue in the breast also increases as girls reach puberty. On the other hand, male hormones (such as testosterone) secreted by the testes suppress the growth of breast tissue and the development of lobules. The male breast, therefore, is made up of predominantly small, undeveloped ducts and a small amount of fat and connective tissue.

How common is male breast cancer?

Male breast cancer is a rare condition, accounting for only about 1% of all breast cancers. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008, about 1,990 new cases of breast cancer in men will be diagnosed, and that breast cancer will cause approximately 480 deaths in men (in comparison, over 40,000 women die of breast cancer each year). Breast cancer is 100 times more common in women than in men. Most cases of male breast cancer are detected in men between the ages of 60 and 70, although the condition can develop in men of any age. A man's lifetime risk of developing breast cancer is about one-tenth of 1%, or one in 1,000.

Produce Video

Salam and Good day to all...
Apart from learning how to edit pictures and editing audio files, we were also taught by Madam Foziah with the skills on how to produce and create a good video...She kept telling us what are the elements that a video must have in order to make it a good one...like usual, we were assigned to produce our own video and together with my partner, we came out with a video entitled Marcus...

This time around I feel like sharing a video which I think very much suitable to teach children who are just learning ABC. The quality of the video is very good with clear pronunciation which will help the children to learn and understand better!!!

Audio Editing

Salam and good day to all...
One of the lesson taught by Madam Foziah is about the usage of audio as one of the resources to be use in the ESL classroom...It is very interesting to find out that with appropriate software, we can actually edit certain audio files as to suit the level of the person who hears it...When the time comes and I am a real primary school teacher, I would never hesitate to apply all the skills she (Mdm Foziah) had thought about audio editing to improve teaching and learning in my classroom...

ELECTRONIC BOOK...

An e-book (short for electronic book, also written eBook or ebook), also known as a digital book, is an e-text that forms the digital media equivalent of a conventional printed book, sometimes restricted with a digital rights management system. E-books are usually read on dedicatedhardware devices known as e-Readers or e-book devices. Some personal computers and cell phones can also be used, especially to read documents in pdf format.

Early e-books were generally written for specialty areas and a limited audience, meant to be read only by small and devoted interest groups. The scope of the subject matter of these e-books included technical manuals for hardware, manufacturing techniques, and other subjects.

Numerous e-book formats emerged and proliferated, some supported by major software companies such asAdobe's PDF format, and others supported by independent and open-source programmers. Multiple readers naturally followed multiple formats, most of them specializing in only one format, and thereby fragmenting the e-book market even more. Due to exclusiveness and limited readerships of e-books, the fractured market of independents and specialty authors lacked consensus regarding a standard for packaging and selling e-books. E-books continued to gain in their own underground markets. Many e-book publishers began distributing books that were in the public domain. At the same time, authors with books that were not accepted by publishers offered their works online so they could be seen by others. Unofficial (and occasionally unauthorized) catalogs of books became available over the web, and sites devoted to e-books began disseminating information about e-books to the public.

Just to share with you , you will be able to find the e-book that you wanted by surfing and buy from www.ebook.com
